So near yet so very far. I've run out of plot!franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4567785175383058427.post-5232198206049390382011-11-04T05:24:00.001-07:002011-11-04T05:27:01.268-07:0011186 words total by the end of yesterday, which was some going and I'm exhausted! I think I'm going to have to slow down for a couple of days. So now I'm more than a fifth through, but the big worry is that I am going to run out of plot before I reach 50000. Actually, I'm positive I will!franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4567785175383058427.post-50632869426200857782011-11-03T04:28:00.001-07:002011-11-03T04:31:12.116-07:007521 words by the end of yesterday. I could've done more - probably should've done more - but I just couldn't face any more. Got bronchitis which is making me feel a bit grotty, but that's no excuse - anyway, I've given myself enough words to be able to take a break if I want - but I don't want - no yet. But so far today, I've written nothing. I'm disatisfied with my structure, so have spent some time moving things around and lengthening chapters. Not sure where I am now - lol.franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4567785175383058427.post-78093195145735295022011-11-02T06:11:00.000-07:002011-11-02T06:16:18.478-07:00We're off!To reach the 50000 word count, you need to write an average of 1667 words per day. My word count for yesterday was 3681, so that gives me a good bit of leeway and I was happy with that. But, heck, it's hard work! Having been used to writing short stories and dwelling over every sentence, searching for perfection - I'm finding it extremely difficult to just 'keep writing' without any regard for my 'inner editor'. I had a plot roughly worked out in my head, but it's so rough that I've no idea, at times, how to continue! And, even when I'm having some time out (even when I supposed to be asleep), my mind is full of plot and character! But, onwards ...

A short excerpt from yesterday!

"She smelled only the air, heard only a muffled thrum, felt lightness, tasted honey, saw only the young man with the sandals."

Whoo! :)franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4567785175383058427.post-67521152593326861952011-10-29T09:11:00.000-07:002011-10-29T09:12:13.396-07:00HaloI forked out $10 for a halo, which I felt was very cheap.franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4567785175383058427.post-62233729850076088792011-10-29T05:04:00.000-07:002011-10-29T05:07:58.329-07:00Time to planThe writing starts in 2 days - I'm excited about it, but rather worried! It takes me months just to write a short story of 2-3000 words - writer's block is a constant. But I've got an idea and even a title (subject to change!) 'The Eliteness of Mitzi Poole' - but I'll only be sharing my progress on here; not my novel - although you can be certain it will be wonderful! :)

Off to read No Plot No Problem on my Kindle ..franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03601897537572002554noreply@blogger.com0
